Does counter-strafing ruin aim?

I have the uncontrollable habit to counter strafe in every game including Val. I don’t know if it ruins aim entirely as you don’t necessarily benefit from it due to the game engine and how the characters move. But I can’t stop. I thought it did till I saw someone like Aspas play. He’s always mobile, always moving and that’s my habit because I tend to hit an and d always. I do this because of my ping and I’m trying to make it difficult for enemies to one tap me in duels

Counter-strafing doesn't ruin your aim in VALORANT; in fact, it can be beneficial when done correctly. The key is to stop your movement just before shooting to ensure accuracy. This technique helps you remain mobile and harder to hit while allowing you to shoot accurately. It's common in high-level play, and many pros use it effectively. Here are some tips: 1. Practice stopping your movement just before firing to ensure your bullets are accurate. 2. Use the practice range or aim trainers to develop muscle memory. 3. Watch pros like Aspas to see how they balance movement and shooting. If you find your aim isn't where you want it to be, it could be worth balancing your counter-strafing with some stationary shooting practice.
