Super slow loading
Hi everyone, i've been trying to play a bit of modded recently and tought i'd start with distant horizons since it would certainly be causing the most problems early and make it work before adding other mods down the line. I'm using modrinth and have been trying the mod on every recent versions (1.19 and more) both fully alone and with other mods (sodium, iris,chuncky...) and tried many tricks found in both the FAQ and internet, no results. I've tried reinstalling everything, tweaking the mod and allocating more ram but the results stays the same : super slow loading of only a few chuncks. Thanks in advance for any help !

If it feels like LoD generation with
Distant Generator is too slow:
Try increasing CPU Load in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive settings of CPU Load. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering and Show World Gen Queue to True.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)is it supposed to be that long before i can play with a large view of th e world ?
As a reference, 512 Chunks Render Distance took me 4 hours with a Ryzen 7 5800X.
Its normal for it to be slow, as DH uses vanilla world gen to generate LODs and vanilla world gen is quite slow

Noisium and Faster Random can speed it up a bit. Don't use C2ME tho, as DH already multithreads and because of this, C2ME doesn't speed it up, rather it slows it a bit down.
