"Error a Java exception has occurred", even after uninstalling and reinstalling Java and JDK.
I was downloading the Distance Horizons 1.16.5 version on forge website. This error happens after installing when I try to run the path file. Here is a picture of the forge info on the file version I was downloading.

Btw this error only happens when running DH java files.

Maybe there is a misunderstanding when it comes to version numbering
There is a difference between minecraft versions, and forge versions.
1.16.5 and 1.20.4 are minecraft versions
The forge you are using should always be made for the minecraft version you are using, and the mods you are using should be made for that Minecraft version as well
The forge version you should be using will almost always be the latest forge version for the Minecraft version you are using
Yeah I think the initial problem was I was using the wrong DH version that I saw on the forge website.

They could have been using an in-dev version of reterraforged? Which is for higher minecraft versions that have shader compatibility, but is not yet released to the public
