question regarding womens blouses
Looking at a fun womens western shirt in size XL rn. How do women shirts run compared to mens shirting? I am usually between L and XL.
Though my concern is also that a womens XL will propably have far too much room in the chest area and will fit kinda strange. Or is that not that noticeable. I would wear it tucked anyway, so a longer front would not matter that much.

Just go based on measurements, it's impossible to say how any shirt labeled XL will fit
as someone who regularly wears women’s cut shirts with and without compression, the difference is typically more in the cut of the sides and how it clings to your waist instead of just hanging loosely like a typical unisex cut
though this is more general fit than size bracket because no two brands are fitted the same way
legit in some brands i’m a small and others i’m large in the size bracket “made” for my body
I know women's shirts will often have darting on the front under the bust rather than on the back, too.
Yeah, will have to do that. Seller is super slow to respond though which is pretty annoying
That sounds super annoying. With male cut shirts there is at least some amount of consistency in my experience.
also beware of cinderella seams - seams that run from around the breast/nipple region down along the natural central curvature towards the hips. those will almost definitely fit weird on masc bodies and i’ve only ever seen them rarely on women’s athletic shirts vs dress shirts or tees, but it’s worth mentioning all the same
or they might look better idk i haven’t worn any compressed because those seams on anything but a dress sound like dysphoria central to me
Good point. Seem to be absent though
Yeah, there are some details that really do hit the ol disphoria button. I rarely have issues with that but a lot of non-flannel tartan/checked shirts really hit me hard dysphoria whise
felt. i can wear flannel and plaid but not gingham
aside from what everyone else has said, the women's button downs i've encountered have shoulder pads in place. you can easily snip them out but they may affect how the shoulder sits/fits
Yeah, lets see if they respond. And if not it was just not meant to be
I would not bother usually but its a pretty rad shirt
For some more extravagant/rodeo takes on westernwear
thats rad
This would really suit you
Thank you! I would love to have it, but it is slightly too expensive to just buy without measurements, though im pretty close to risk it
