Steam download speed a third of download speed on windows
I am noticing that my download speed on my windows drive is about 3x higher than linux. I see that this has happened to others in linux but Bazzite should have a tweak for this under ujust. How do I access this or fix this?

it's also in the Bazzite Portal that launched at first bootI reopened the portal and I remember definitely ticking that before. Ticked it again to reinstall and tested it but still getting lower download speeds compared to windows

the fix works for some, does not work for others, have not heard of valve commenting on this at all

typically what difference do you get between windows and linux? did the fix work for you? A friend suggested changing the steam download region as it may not have been set to the right region.
I will try that once I get to my linux desktop
That fix is already applied since you did our ujust
and i don't notice any download speed issues with Steam
for me its a difference between 512 on linux and 780 on windows
and it was worse before, capping at 312 on linux
so not terrible but noticeable
So tested the same download server on steam between bazzite and windows yielded similar results. Bazzite would have a slightly lower but consistent download rate while windows had a higher max but more incosistent rate. Overall, I think the problem is solved for me so I will mark it down as such
