What does the Distant Generation option do?
There's no description for it in the Wiki nor in-game through the tool-tip.

triggers whether or not the mod will generate chunks
Can you elaborate? Like non-fake chunks?
only in singleplayer this option is in effect
it generates Lod chunks in its own format for you to view
Like if you set the render distance to 512 chubks
It wont generate 512 chunks the mod will just keep the chunks you have been in loaded
oh like a cache thing then
no like, its hard to explain but the mod just wont generate new chunks
it caches chunks and loads chunks you have been in but just doesent make more
and if you go in new chunks it will cache those chunks
and load them
u can use chunky which actually generates chunks
chunky replaces distant generation
keep dh distant gen off while chunky is working tho
