It sounds frustrating that your game keeps crashing. The message about a new patch being available could be due to a few reasons. Here's a quick checklist you can try:
1. Update Graphics Drivers: Make sure your integrated graphics (if any) are also up-to-date.
2. Repair VALORANT Installation: Open the Riot Client, click on the settings icon (top right), and select "Repair".
3. Restart Riot Client: Sometimes simply restarting the client can fix the issue.
4. Check for Background Software: Make sure no conflicting software is running (like overlays or VPNs).
5. Network Issue: Ensure that your firewall/antivirus allows VALORANT. Sometimes, network problems cause these errors.
6. Run as Administrator: Try running both VALORANT and the Riot Client as an admin.
7. Clean Boot: Try performing a clean boot to ensure no other services/applications are interfering.
8. Reinstall VALORANT and Vanguard: This can help resolve persistent issues. Uninstall both and then reinstall.
If none of these work, you might want to make a support request through Riot Games Support for a more detailed investigation.
