Changing any setting breaks rendering, chunks not loading
Playing on a multiplayer server with Distant Horizons, using Bliss shaders, LOD chunks failed to load after previously generating them by exploring, as though the chunk data isn't saving (first, second screenshot).
Upon changing any setting, rendering would break completely, as in the third screenshot.
The former error still occurred on a new, lighter instance I then created with the following mods, and no shaders installed (4th screenshot):
- DH 2.1.0-a
- Fabric API 0.97.1+1.20.4
- Indium 1.0.31+mc1.20.4
- Iris 1.7.0+mc1.20.4
- Sodium 0.5.8+mc1.20.4
- ViaFabricPlus 3.1.1
I am running with:
- AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (6 Cores)
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER
- 16384 MiB dedicated ram
I'll add that my CPU and GPU are pushing full usage whenever I move around, even though I have generation disabled since I'm playing on a server, and even with the preset settings at their lowest.
Thanks for the help!

Upon disabling rendering in the DH menu, I get the following error:
In the bottom left pic you just need to go into dh settings then graphics then rendering and make transparency to complete once that is done restart your game if it isn't fixed
Do you have the serverside fork?
Transparency has been set to complete by default, and I don't have the serverside for, I did hear about that though
I have similar problems in singleplayer
Where can I find the server-side fork, I'd like to play around with that
I've gotten the issue on the bottom left myself a few times in singleplayer. I found reloading shaders to work. The issues only occur when, well, shaders are enabled and I try to change a setting. Additionally, disabling DH while shaders are enabled causes DH to stop working, and I need to restart my game.
I would reccommend that, whenever you want to change DH settings, disable shaders.
Seems to have solved that issue, thanks!
I'm still not sure about the LOD chunks not saving/loading
