Mumbai Server High Ping
I have been playing Valorant on my PC for the past 1-2 months with a stable ping around 30-35ms. However, since yesterday, my ping has suddenly increased to a constant 100ms, making the game unplayable. My ethernet internet connection remains unchanged, and speed tests show the same speeds as before. I used to play on the Mumbai server, but now even the Singapore server has a lower ping.

I currently live in the Middle East and only play in Mumbai servers to play w friends.
There is no issue in other servers like Bahrain so I don’t think it’s a problem from my side
I’m getting 140ms in Hong Kong which is further away from Middle East than Mumbai and I’m getting 180-200ms in Mumbai

@やぞう mate, your spamming is not helping anybody here, I understand your frustration but we are doing our best to contact all these ISPs that have issues, sometime it takes time for them to reply and implement our suggested fix, some problems are easly solvable others are not. Its a complicated world

Bxino Our network and servers are set by region not for fun, as EU resident you should play to your closest platform, which in your case is Stockholm, if you have friends across and would like to play with them you can try using VPN services, but we do not provide support for these unfortunately.
Imagine you take a bus from Sweden to Bulgaria, on the way there is going to be a landslide in lets say Slovakia and you cannot pass through there. then you have to go around through Austria. Bus company in Sweden have no way to guarantee you that the road will be blocked or not in Slovakia.

@Rebel you should be playing in Mumbai servers, if you want to play outside of your region you can try VPN
to be fair even though im NA, i've been playing in asia recently and have noticed a trend of higher ping than usual

@wildwolff21 i get 80-90 on frankfurt when i used to get 52 atleast and 60 at max we all in israel has the same ping now no matter what is our isp and we have alot of ISP's here , we all have 80~90 ping where we used to play at 50~60 just revert the changes @Kenji-San

the game crashes a lot
which also leads to multiple afk bans for no reason
when i mean the game crashing a lot i mean it crashes like 3-4 times per match
and theres a lotta glitches with the bullets
sometimes we shoot and it hits the opponent and it shows the blood too but there will be 0 damahe
my game litwrally just crashed again

We are working on the issue with the major providers in India. This will take some time, but it's something we are focusing on.
In the mean time, I suggest use a VPN service like Cloudflare WAP to route around congestion points on the Internet

The thing I see in common in here is almost everyone here plays on mumbai servers from other countries apart from India, which is apparently mumbai's native region
Riot is actively looking into this issue as confirmed from devs from reddit and on discord. Will take time to resolve
They would appreciate if you guys just put in your ISP details and the region you guys are playing from (Country, city )
At the moment, mumbai servers are only working 100% fine for players playing from India

I don't think so i am playing from Mumbai but i am also getting 80+ ping it's irritating so much usually i get 6 ping.
that's actually pretty ridiculous tbh, try doing the regular troubleshooting (reinstalling drivers, resetting network etc)

ur ISP's network infrastructure might be causing you issues regarding routing
thus providing you worse ping
try escalating this issue with the provider
and ask for a re route
Same for me, for a few days I had immense amount of lag and ping spikes but it’s stable now
i justed checked in valo and got a 4 ping don't know was server issue or my isp issue because was network speed was also fine and latency was also great
so ig it's all good
it has to be an issue between you and ur provider, nonetheless glad that it's all good

@Jimz what about bezeq in israel , we all have high ping in israel , instead of 55 we have 75~90 my ping is back to be stable i replaced my router and everything got fixed but we all in israel have high ping no matter what isp we have i have BEZEQ

My friend is getting 90-100perc packet loss the entire time they play Valo after the update on Mumbai server their isp is Airtel. Is there something riot can do or my friend can do to fix this it's barely playable like this

those numbers of packet loss percentages are mostly either ISP routing related or your home internet connection
They get 10ms ping but have high packet loss for some reason
Other games works fine but only Valo has issue for some reason

Hi everyone, Pakistan ISPs towards Mumbai should be better soon, we are working on a solution with the transit providers, for now Cybernet as example is peering with us in Dubai, so you should have normal latency towards Dubai servers ( our metric shows around 40ms RTT on average from Cybernet)
Problem is that major transit providers in India are not distributing the IPs for Mumbai the correct way, so players outside India playing towards Mumbai getting a long route via Internet instead ( causing high latency to Mumbai servers )

ok DU ISP is fine to Dubai, we still got Mumbai issues but thats because the Indian transit providers I mentioned, that should be resolved soon hopefully

@Kenji-San i live in Ireland but i made my account in india and i usually get 144ms in Ireland however i recently visited india and i came back to Ireland today and when i opened the game the ping went upto 418ms and it doesn't come down
Weirder shit is that when i connect to vpn and set the location to Ireland it goes down to 370ms
And on meter net it shows 142 ms so i am certain that it is a riot issue
Also i asked my friend to login to a london account and he got 170ms from Pune on london server so what is this issue and how can i solve it (my service provider is virgin media)

@Harsh Microscan should be opitimized a bit now, they had massive packet loss to their link being congested, we switched them over to another internet exchange, see how that goes on

@Kenji-San can u check out my ISP as well (Virgin Media Ireland) i have been playing on 140 ping (in mumbai server) anyways but now it goes to 420 which is extremely laggy and i keep disconnecting every now and then now i am using exitlag as a solution but can u tell me once you have checked with them

@Zlayer unfortunately we cant influence cross region routing, if you are in Europe you will need to play on Europe servers for your best latency, if you want to play outside I can only recommend VPN. Sorry brother

I got high ping in my valorant when I updated to this ep.
All I did to fix it was go to
Run command > appdata > Local > VALORANT > Saved > Config then the user profile with all the numbers that look like a reedem code deleted that file then relaunched valorant and it was all fine. Something in my file there broke, so deleting it gave it a fresh wipe when I launched up valorant on that account

as someone who plays on singapore server, I'm having the same problem too.. I used to play on 20-30ms but now every server is just 100-300ms
I use to have the same probelms after updating, however after turning on limit FPS it stop lagging all together. So try that out
im not sure but i can tell you its a riot problem cause my ping is fine on other game .
im quite sure its a riot issues this mostly happen to me at night not sure why

@luminous. nope! that was us talking to Metroset ISP, they have implemented a change we suggested and it got resolved, just forgot to update, no such thing as "bug with servers" I am afraid 🙂

Belgium. Usually Frankfurt since it is the closest server to me. I live in Limburg province very close to German borders.
London once in a while. but nowadays i usually select the server which is the lowest. either one of the 2 are like on double or tripple the ping.
I think 100 ms is too little i got 1000 with my ordinary wifi

@basu Please be aware that these are not our servers that have latency issues, its your ISP towards our servers, Raitel India do not have presence in Singapore, so they have to depend on transit providers in India to "get them there" We can only do so much unfortunately to help them reach those servers with low latency.
^ also the connection looks sort-of-better since about 4:40 PM UTC+1 timezone, your ISP might have done some rerouting towards Singapore
Dont care about singapore just mentioned it because the ping there is relatively lower than mumbai which is the closest to me. i get that its my ISP issue. so can i get help regarding this....

Just an update its been 1 week after my ticket at Support but i think my tickets is lost in their systems. I did some Tracert tests and Riot repair tool tests or smthng. if u dont mind i could send you those. there u can actually see that im getting connection issues i think.
