Yk how we have that FAQ we force you to read through when you join the server?
yes it says feather wont work
what launcher should i use then?
Anything other than Feather
I personally use Prism
Curseforge 🥴
like whats the best client? curseforge is like bit rough yk
Prism
prism
nnever heard of that
It can update your mods, you can change your Java settings per instance, easy changing versions, easy exporting logs, etc etc
curseforge but better
basically
Its probs the most popular 3rd party launcher behind Curseforge
Prism Launcher - Home
An Open Source Minecraft launcher with the ability to manage multiple instances, accounts and mods. Focused on user freedom and free redistributability.
can i import mods also?
64 bit or the arm64 version?
very likely 64 bit
or arm64, if youre running on something like macos or a raspberry pi
arm64 for mobile
imagine using a pi for minecraft
yes, if you copy paste the mods folder from one instance to the other
theres also the OG way of copying the mod file to the /mods folder
yea thats what i mean
lol
ah
dont forget to use the language option "Cute Engwish" for best results 👍
I didnt know about that
Noice
what does it make better than curseforge? i alr downloaded curseforge
think of it like this
do u also use prism?
curseforge allows you to change your oil in your car, prism allows you to custom tune your car
n0 IM basic
but im familiar
Prism starts up faster, you can change Java args per instance, you can download mods directly from both Modrinth and Curseforge, in my experience CF is slower and less stable
And Prism can directly upload your logs and make a link so its easy to share when you're letsss sayyy making a help me post in the DH discord lmao
the modrinth thing is the best imo
The modrinth app?
yeah curseforge doesnt integrate with Modrinth IIRC
I wouldnt use that since I cant directly download from CF with that, instantly makes me not wanna use it anymore
gotta download and copy files
i used the modrinth app but switched to prism as i couldnt get it to work on linux
Ik you can manually add mods but the thing is, I dont wanna do that
Use CF for casual play or already made modpacks, use prism if youre making your own
i did like the modrinth apps UI better
Thats true
Id say try them all and just keep the one you like most
I play already made modpacks as a casual player. I dont care for features, i hit play and get going
so i use Curseforge
thsi convo is totally not happening in a help-me post lol
his question wasnt really a question
Hes hardstuck on Feather, we are telling him it wont work and to use other options
now we are debating said options
yea thats fair
im just here passing time until someone responds to my help me
ill take a look
is it rlly rlly safe?
prism? yes
modrinth app? yes
