Fabric DH 2.1 Crashes upon LOD rendering [MacOS]
I can open the game and enter a singleplayer world as long as LOD rendering is disabled. The second I turn it on, the game crashes.
I am only using Fabric api, DH 2.1 for 1.20.4, as well as mod menu.

I'd expect a crash log to be more informative. They are usually found in the "crash reports" folder of your MC instance.
There probably isn't one and usually latest.log files are more informative
The log file just ends here though
What if you make a new instance with just DH?
Hard disagree on latest logs being more informative. (I help with issues a bit for AoF7).
Crash logs include the stack trace at the time of the crash.
I think it really depends on the mod probably, and isn't the stacktrace also not in the latest.log file?
Except for this one of course, as it seems to have crashed without any errors
Meaning it also didn't make a crash report
But so much useless junk in the latest log.
True, but also more useful stuff
Anyhows, fwiw, I'm seeing a crash on start with latest DH on macOS too.
However, I just added DH to my test instance, which is 1.20.1; and Embeddium instead of Sodium.
Seems to be a different problem. Can you try deleting your config file at .minecraft/config/distanthorizons.toml? Make a new #help-me post if that doesn't work
To edit the config, press the button next to the FOV slider to edit the config.
The config file found in .minecraft/config/DistantHorizons.toml
Sure, will try.
BTW, just tried adding latest DH to an AoF7 instance, also on my mac... that worked. Didn't expect that, after it not working on a minimal instance.
Would it be better if I use bug report instead?
Sounds closer to the spirit of what I'm doing now.
As a player, works fine already when added to my AoF7 instance on PC.
So my intention is only to provide further info as to what's happening with latest DH on macOS.
Nvm? Test instance successfully started and played, after deleting the DH
.toml
file.
But maybe a bit of bad science... I changed another variable, having noticed my FAPI on that instance wasn't latest, and updated it too.Well, if it works it works
i deleted my config file multiple times and brought back the 40 mods i use and it stopped crashing
