I know the old recommendations were to not use any apps that handle installing drivers for you (since those apps are usually bloatware or get the wrong drivers)
But to this day I recommend using this app: https://sdi-tool.org/download/
Download the lite version, and on launch select to only get the newest indexes
After it does get the new index, it'll list out what drivers it has available for your system. You can pretty much do
select all
and install them, then rebootDownload
Looking for drivers? Snappy Driver Installer is a free driver updater with a huge driver collection for offline use.
For GPU drivers I would recommend using DDU in safe mode to remove the current drivers and all the old crap that comes with them, then run that SDI tool above to install the newest GPU drivers
Are you still on windows 7 there?
Wait looking at the Minecraft window it says it's running Windows 9X ? Doesn't seem right to me
That's why I am asking about windows 7. That gives you the windows 9x error. Because minecraft does not know anything before windows XP which is same as windows 7 build on NT.
I think minecraft thinks here that they are running windows 9x or below
Also looked up that CPU and iGPU, it might not be able to run the current version of Minecraft
The iGPU supports up to OpenGL 2.0, it appears the game needs OpenGL 4
They are running version 1.5.2 according to the launcher, which is pretty old
Ah
Would need @ThinkCentrePC to let us know some info
i have windows 10
yea, even the oldest version of minecraft on the betacraft launcher doesn't work
have you ever heard of compatibility mode....
that's why it says windows 9X
true, and your wrong at the same time, this computer im using was supposed to run windows 7 (why tho? sense windows 10 wasn't a thing yet)
ok i will gonna find out more about this computer im using
GG @ThinkCentrePC, you just advanced to level 1 !
Yeah no way minecraft is working on windows 9x go xp and above
Yeah 9x is weirdly enough the moniker for stuff from 1994-2001
Also use that tool I linked earlier to update your drivers
