What kind of shirt is this?

I picked up this shirt a few weeks back because it looked very unique, not something you usually find in H&M among all the jeans and t-shirts. But I got curious, what kind of shirt is this? The ribs make me think it's supposed to be some sort of fancy shmancy dress shirt, along with the cuffs (which btw now makes this shirt my only shirt where I can use custom cuff buttons). But I'm not sure, so yeah, what kind of shirt is this and what is it usually worn with?
