The mod is on but i feel that its not looking like it is supposed to
The mod is enabled but it doesnt look how it looks in videos where you can see alot further ( i have a rx 7800 xt and a ryzen 5 7600 ) is it working properly or not and if not how do i make it so i can see further because i thought you would be able to see everyhting without blank chunks like showed in the ss

That looks like 128 chunks
You can make it further but it’ll take longer
how do i make it further
do you mean render distance
Click the new icon next to the fov and change it from 128 to like 512
Don’t do like 5000
ok i am trying now
i think my pc is decent
i put my cpu usage to 28gb for minecraft
i have 32 gb in total
:cou:
Do 6-10 gb of ram
You’re over feeding Minecraft
i tried 700 btw and it stil doesnt look right
Oh it’s working
anyway for it to look like this
But you can try /slowgen
excluding the shaders
If it feels like LoD generation with
Distant Generator
is too slow:
Try increasing CPU Load
in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator
is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive
settings of CPU Load
. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe
, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering
and Show World Gen Queue
to True
.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)see how it gets foggy for him
Yeah thats the shaders
but for him theres no empty obvious chunks
You have to wait for the LODs to actually generate
how long do you think that will take
also based on my specs what custom settings do u thik i should enable for this mod
One million bazillion years
Just increase CPU load and wait a while
For 700, probably 3 minutes-3 million years
lool
alr
should i do more
I think 256 is plenty in general but you can always increase it if you want more render distance
Remember iirc 700 is way bigger than 699 because it works in a circle/square around the player
alr
before we finish this up
yk for iris shader
it says it has ended support for 1.2
should i just get latest version of minecraft
im using forge btw
:maybike:
Iris is fabric
so
So forge wont work
so how do i uninstall forge
and get fabric
nvm
Basic instance?
im asking dumb things now
sorry
It’s fine
can i just keep forge and install fabric and launch minecraft from fabric
with all my mods in my mods folder
and it will work normally
I’ve had to deal with “how to download iris launcher for tlauncher”
lool
You’ll need to change mods from forge to fabric
forge works though?
lol
i use forge all the time
for iris shaders
use oculus shaders
works any version past 1.20.1
Oculus is buggy
but for forrge i just made a mods folder manually in minecraft
Very buggy
shall i delete it
then install iris
Probably
not really for me at least
but idk might just be the pc
so how do i uninstall forge then before i go to download iris
Ask the Iris team how a unofficial port is just as good as their mod
Uhh not sure
You could try removing the instance
its not just as good its just not that bad, thats all
it does work with DH past 1.20.1 tho
Alr
