Pick user defined

Huwaweiπ€ nuh-uh, Huawei, not "Huwawei" xd alright let me take a look see
manual
We have uploaded your file to a paste service for better readability
Paste services are more mobile friendly and easier to read than just posting a file
hg8145v5.pdf

oops wrong one
just happened to have the same name
lol. was gonna say it doesnt include port forwarding
yeesh the router's so old huawei made a new version and called it the same
hmm
damn
What happens if you uncheck the port mapping button
set WAN Name to
1_VOIP_IPTV_INTERNET_RVID_2

leave the port as TCP
and keep all port numbers the same for convenience's sake
hmm your dropdown doesn't contain that option, tutorial must've been from a different huawei router
there's so many
@Exallotriote just try a wan option and if it works, great
since it's technically the "name" and not the config
nothing
wdym
leave it checked then and try all possible combinations
while still being at user defined?
yup
having a hard time finding the exact manual, the internet wasn't as big 20+ odd years ago lol
@DogeConomy will these help?
do my suggestions work?
try them in the meantime
Huawei EchoLife EG8145V5 Support Guide, Manuals & PDF β Huawei
EchoLife EG8145V5 Optical Access: Access product manuals, HedEx documents, product images and visio stencils.
does it look like that?
the only official manuals are locked to customers only which is a bummer
turns out i was on the wrong section. testing it now to see if it works

Port triggering only works if the application you're trying to forward for sends a packet to the router
The minecraft server doesn't send that special packet
You're better off buying a router from the last decade, at this point
their router is an ONT, so they could only replace it if it supports an ip passthru mode
am i supposed to put something in the external ip?

leave it blank
just for sanity, does typing
192.168.1.9
into another device let you join the bedrock serveryeah
i set it up but i cant seem to join the server with my router's external ip
can other people?
or can you join it on mobile data?
hairpin nat (connecting to port forwarded services from the local network) doesn't always work with some routers
ill try asking
tried asking my friend and he couldnt join
that site cant detect it either
mobile data doesnt work too
Idk, looks more readable as xml than a pdf to me
tried ngrok?
it keeps changing ip, i dont wanna deal with that
tried playit.gg but the latency increase is just too much to deal with
Not feasible then
If you donβt have a somewhat static ip then youβd have issues connecting from the outside when it changes
he was talking about ngrok
Oh
ngrok changes domain per session, + has a 1 gb traffic limit on free tier
What about minekube connect?
https://connect.minekube.com
Minekube Connect
The Ingress Tunnel for Minecraft Servers
Main drawback with that is gonna be the ads in the future
Get a better router then :minecraftTroll:
What huawei garbage
I forgot, does opnsense do port forwarding when routing
