Screen overtaken by flickering when underwater (Complementary Shaders)
My shaders broke just now when I tried switching to the potato preset on Complementary Shaders. Picture of the abnormal behavior attached. It's reminiscent of an OpenGL issue, but I'm not entirely sure how to fix it. I'm running arch linux with an RX570 and open-source drivers (mesa and amdvlk). I've fiddled with all the water settings, restarted the game, rebooted my computer, reinstalled my graphics drivers, all to no avail. The issue is also occuring on presets that worked perfectly before. I'm unsure what broke and I'm hoping someone can help me out. Thank you very much!

Here's my mod list in case that helps:
i'm also using the vanillatweaks resource pack
There were problems with Mesa if I recall correctly
💀
I think Slooshie knows something about it
do you know of any documentation of the issue i can take a look at
I don't know, I don't use Linux but I just see Mesa come up in a bad light here sometimes 🤣
oh dear
Try searching for Mesa in this forum, might find some info
o7
prece
didn't see anything of use in the listed issues
the mesa bug of note was a distant horizons problem, which i'm not experiencing
my drivers are definitely up to date, so i'm not immediately sure what the problem could be
i'll try the experimental mesa build and see if that does anything, but im not feeling too bullish
Hmm yeah, give it a shot
I don't use linux myself, I'm just a humble windows man so I wish I could be of more assistance
yeah it's all good lol
im praying that there's some deeplore kernel wizard in this server but im probably gonna have to post on the arch forums and get my back blown out by people telling me to rtfm
oh christ the mesa experimental build won't even compile
okay issue resolved
Nice
i deleted and reinstalled both iris and my shader pack
that suggests that it may be a config issue
so i suspect it's on the shaderpack moreso than it is on iris
still might be worth looking into
idk
which shader were you using?
Complementary Shaders
but it looks like i was using an older version
it mightve just been that
I've never had issues with that one, it's one of the most stable shaders I've ever used though I've been using version 5
yeah this is the first time ive had a problem with it
hold on
i was using v4.7.2
so it mightve just been unstable with the modern version of iris
Yeah that's a very old version I think
Emin would have more info on that
