Probably depends on what kind of programming you're planning on doing.
Python Bad :stare:
Python is a fine language.
I mean it's pretty decent for prototyping and In my case testing REST APIs I'm making but anything beyond that :stare:
Just not a fan of packages too much
Not a fan of packages?
Python community usually defaults to installing a billion packages per project creating 3 solutions for one problem and none work properly
Not to mention pip is terrible
Even on github I've never seen a python project that has worked first try even with the requirements.txt installed
Modern .NET Programming also relies on many packages
Yes but you aren't "required" to install anything from NuGet
(not counting project templates here)
I want to make games, apps and uh messaging things (at least experiment with them)
my python skill is very beginner so yeah
I mean C# often gets associated with game dev :stare:
and I already have visual studio installed 😅
so, welcome to c# my man
ye
I'd recommend C# then
okay
/thread
You'll love it.
:soPortuguese:
Im like 14 and uh coding boggles my brain 💀
I mean we all start somewhere
I started at batch scripts lmao
fair enough
is it not recommended to learn like python first and then moving onto C# as it would be easier to learn???
Not at all
It's more like the other way around
The only annoying this is I bought a python in easy steps book
🤦♂️
I mean it's not useless you can still use that afterwards
Alr!
um... I got started on c# and forgot everything
wtf is that
I swear i must have follow a video or smthn
which I HATE doing
also should I use visual code over studio?
I learned on Codecademy it's pretty decent even on free tier
yu

to sign up
But you should never forget that you need to build your own projects too to learn properly
yes yes
You'll probably want to use studio for C# dev
ye
Thanks!
np :soPortuguese:
depends on your mind, it doesn't matter if you select one from 2
:stare:
VSCode is comparatively shit
So certainly not that
Also, $helloworld
