Fashion Tips for Bigger men
Hello all, I am new here, was a long time lurker of the Reddit thread but recently joined the Discord.
I am looking for styling tips for a heavier man, I am bit more chunky on the mid section (love handles). Obviously I am working on it, but it's an ongoing process.
I the meantime, I am in need on tips to help me improve my style game. For starters I have started wearing my pants at a higher waist level (At the navel level)
Additional info about me
Please help me out with tips / advice

This old thread is a trainwreck for a number of reasons but the input from Carrion, Eurodi(ck)gs et al is good https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1238495620193321052/1238496233576730654
Check out bigfits1 on Instagram.
good call on high-waisted! if you're wearing some kind of jacket, it's always better imo

yeah I started buying denim jackets
I live in India, a warm ass country, so not really conducive for wearing jackets but I try.
You could get lightweight linen jackets / over shirts / chore coats!
yea. regardless, just wear what you like and be confident in it.
some general tips: avoid clothes that pull when you can -- a little room is always more freeing and more flattering with current trends too-- and invest in fewer pieces that fit really well at the start. I get a lot of MTM cuz very little fits me great off the rack, or I'll buy vintage and expect to get sleeves/inseam shortened and the length cropped. go get measured, write down the tailor's recommendations (or just add a little to your measurements for room), and always check listings for those
and don't beat yourself up if the confidence building takes time. I know it's good advice that I appreciate now, but when people said it to me at first, I was very confused and frustrated by it. You may already have it! Just my personal "journey" as it were.
CC dresses so fuckin good dude

The two most important pieces of advice I ever got are: 1) don’t try to fully hide the way you’re built, it won’t work anyways. There are no clothes that’ll make you magically skinny.
2) Be comfortable. If you’re not, everyone will notice. So only get and wear stuff you feel comfortable and confident in. My aesthetic is pretty „narrow“, beccause as a big guy that’s what I’m comfortable in.

DRESSING FOR LARGER MALE FIGURES 🧵
Want to do a quick thread on how to dress if you're a larger guy. There's not a lot of info or inspiration online about this, and I feel this leads people to think that they don't have options or can't dress well bc of their body type.

is there any way to style Crotchet shirts?
How do I view the thread? I can only view the post you’ve linked.
Is this one of those “you need the app for “insert thing” to work”
I found it tricky to do, because they tend to shape to your body a lot. If they’re a bit looser it can work.
for layering they would work well I guess
but thanks anyways
even more motivation to loose weight 😛
