Reaction to Keeping Our Community Healthy // Dev Updates

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9A4L4ZoWN8 I agree that Valorant has 0 room for toxic people However: 1: What about players that have been unjustly banned by report bullying or other ways? My main account has been banned for TWO YEARS and my alt has NEVER been banned.... Why would I be "toxic" on one account and not on another? 2: What is banter? Saying "ez", teabagging, etc? Where is the line drawn? 3: I disagree on muting; Muting is taking the attention away from the toxic person which is what they want: Attention 4: I also disagree on the thicker skin comment: This is a video game where random toxic players are protected for 45 minutes behind a computer screen..... Their comments should NEVER affect you. That being said: Valorant should have 0 toxic people and be played as a fun team based game 🙂

They can't stop it but they can prevent it. Every game will ALWAYS have toxic people no matter what it is and you can't stop them from saying what they say. You can prevent it by giving these harsher punishments such as an HWID ban. Muting does not justify their actions and it should not be used as a tool to justify toxic people. We shouldn't have to mute someone because they are being toxic, it shouldn't be used that way as said in the video. Everyone has emotions and feelings, some people take different comments a different way. Just because it is an "online game" doesn't mean what they say shouldn't affect you. Some people can hide their emotions better than others which can't be used against them. Toxic players shouldn't be given their justice by just muting them and going on with your day after what they could have said to do you. They need brutal punishments to ensure they are not a repeat offender. Once again, no one will ever be able to stop toxicity, but there are different ways to prevent it. How are people going to learn if they keep getting these measly punishments? They get what, a one week ban from playing? They get back on and do it again and again. HWID ban is only for repeated offenders who commit a severe violation as she stated in the video. This is the most effective way to prevent this. They are simply fighting fire with fire. Then they make another account and the process starts all over again. HWID ban ensures they learn from their actions.

Smurfs aren't against TOS? Muting doesn't justify toxicity.

First, thanks for all the replies....let's me try to respond The first step we all need to realize is that Riot is not responsible for these toxic idiots; only they themselves are. We can't expect Riot to be able to stop all of them. It's impossible. I forgot to mention that HWID bans are very spoofable right now and will probably always be...it's a problem that will never be solved because it's just impossible from a technical standpoint. I might have been misunderstood: Muting isn't the end all solution and isn't a excuse but a high level of these toxic people all they want is attention: You mute them, don't hear them, they don't get a reply from you and they will get bored because they don't have that attention. And yes, everyone is different but the game is the same and at the end of the game....it's just another online video game where this isn't your job or class or anything Like I said, HWID are easily spoofable so.... You are getting on another topic but smurfs were never and are never against ToS so ... I disagree on what she said about muting: Muting takes power and attention away from toxic people. That's something that is important and needs to be used more often by people. Someone being toxic is most of the times , NOT being helpful as a teamplayer. Yes, that is exactly my point. Instead of insulating back and forth, the worse you can do to a toxic person, is mute them, take attention away and continue. Doesn't affect you and the toxic person simply gets more angrier because you don't reply but that's their problem Then you don't need to be toxic because of smurfs in a videogame. It's a videogame. Period. I'm gonna give you a tip on how to piss smurfs off: don't play and/or camp with 5 judges/Odin. The worst thing for a Smurf is not getting kills and/or losing time But again: We are not talking about smurfs....we are talking about toxicity and it's repercussions

On rare accusations would I say they get spoofed easily. Vanguard is constantly evolving and changing to be better making it harder to bypass things. And if someone gets caught spoofing an HWID ban, it becomes permanent.

If you are computer illiterate, it might take you maybe a few hours. I 100% promise you, from a IT perspective, it is very easy

If players are dumb enough to get an HWID ban in the first place, I don't think they are smart enough to bypass the HWID ban. Either way, if you say HWID bans are useless because of their spoof-ability. What do you suggest as a punishment against toxic players? HWID ban is the top notch of punishments, this means you would only be lessening the harshness of their punishment.

They can Google/ChatGPT it and it is very simple. It might take them time but due to how HWID work, vanguard can't do much about it

yea HWID ban is kind of the last resort for any sort of punishment they cant take it any further than that unless they wanna pull a BOEING on all toxic valo players lol

On top of that...it's a very very very last resort for toxic players....it's usually used for cheats
