Is it weird to wear high-waisted pants with a dumptruck?
Given my height (5 foot 8), slightly overweight and probably suffering from anterior pelvic tilt, my behind stands out like a sore thumb. I'm not sure what my leg to body ratio is, but my inseam (until the floor) is 46% of my height, so I'm guessing I have either shorter or average legs.
Is there any point in going for a short/tucked-in shirt and high-waisted pants as so many of the shorter inspos suggest? It feels like the curvature of it beats the illusion that the pants want to create.

It's fine.
are most high-waisted pants made for this in mind? I've not seen one short influencer with a big behind so it's difficult to compare
I don't know if they are made with it in mind, but the proportions on high waisted pants look good on most people, and you are almost certainly exaggerating how big your ass is.
Posting a pic of the look you have in mind for feedback might be beneficial here
But in general anybody can wear anything they want
this is kinda the style I'm going for
I mean I might be, but I've been commented on my behind often enough to the point where it stuck and made me concious of it
I meant of you, but yeah I think just about anybody can look good doing this
yeah, but the word "callipygian" probably isn't even in their vocabulary, so fuck 'em.
it wasn't in mine either lol but TIL
Took a pic just now, I guess it's not that big
I'll just rock high-wasteds and roll
it will also be less noticeable in wider pants.
Once again, big pants are the answer. :mfad:
🙏 thank you gents!
I think you can rock higher waist still!
Trying wide high waisted trousers has been a revelation to me. Really recommend giving it a try!
Agree with everyone here, I also have a big bum and I think good posture helps a bit, but well fitting slightly loose trousers do completely eliminate the problem, not that it's really a problem anyway
