Hornets in London
I'll be in London next month and googling suggests that Hornets would be my best bet for second hand tailored clothing. Has anyone been there recently? Most of the reviews I've seen are a decade old or more.

I'm guessing you mean central London. Not sure about tailored clothing but in general the best places to thrift are charity shops. Here's a couple top ten lists: https://www.timeout.com/london/shopping/best-charity-shops-in-london

I just found the site for Hornets too, looks like they're still kicking https://hornetskensington.co.uk/

Hornets' online shop offers the unusual and original in gentlemen's vintage clothing, footwear and objects, all reflecting rarity and quality
I haven't been there myself though.
I have been to Hornets last week. Its not cheap but they have really nice, really old stuff
Hornets is cool but it's largely almost costume stuff these days IMO.
How old is old? cdfchopper's calling it "costume stuff" makes me wonder if it's worth the cab fare.
i think they had some 60s and 50s stuff when I was there. Personally I just took the tube btw which works really well
No, Hornets is great if you like vintage! It's just worth remembering that you will see 1960s Carnaby Street fare, which may well look costumey to the modern eye.
But yes take the tube, don't drive in London. And check out the above lists for other sites!
Thanks. D'oh ... whenever I checked travel times in Google maps the public transportation was slow and the taxis fast. Then I realized I was doing this in the States and it was the middle of the night in London. Setting the time to midday and of course the tube is the logical choice.
I still would like to know if there are enough classically styled suits and sports coats there but it sounds like a worthwhile trip anyway. Man does not live by museums alone.
Honestly whilst it's not stuff I would buy/wear it probably is worth a trip regardless.
Hell, just consider it a museum! Sadly I'll not be in the City for the next month or so, or I'd stream you a peek
Saville row is the place for non-second-hand tailored clothing. There's lots of places to visit in London, but it's pretty interesting even if you won't buy anything (expensive). Ditto what all the other commenters said above, all good advice
