weird drape on jeans

hey guys, on many jeans that I wear I get this weird drape form on jeans (circled in the pics), is it weird or am I just imagining it? Am I getting the wrong size maybe? I like loose / wide fitting jeans, just not sure if this kind of drape is to be expected with this style.

It’s not that weird looking to my eyes . Maybe the seat or thighs are on the loose side? But personally would not be concerned And how long has this happened? I’ve never had jeans which don’t shrink a bit there over time

Well the first pic is jeans I just tried on haha, so it’s not shrinkage .Maybe I am just being psycho about it, no idea

Can you try a smaller size ? I’m saying that in my experience jeans which drape oddly have the way of conforming more to my body the more they are washed and worn, which is a combination of stretching and shrinking in different ways

thanks for the suggestion, although both jeans in the pics sizes are correct regarding waist, can try to check how one size lower fits

These jeans look good, no real issues. If you want a closer fit to the thigh, you will probably have to go for a cut with a slimmer leg.

If the waist fits then that’s just the cut. I don’t think it’s very noticeable and overall I think both pairs look good

You can see a similar drape on mine here. Just a relaxed fit in the thigh and seat

Carhartt relaxed fit I’ve had the same thought before, I think it’s just a matter of expectations. Some jeans are slimmer in the top block and thighs and won’t necessarily have that extra fabric, like 501s. Totally valid if that’s what you want, but these don’t look weird at all.

This is generally caused when the back rise is too high or the waistband isn’t hiked up. I personally wouldn’t bother fixing this on jeans tho just trousers

It looks good tbh I wouldn’t notice if you didn’t point it out

Aha I have them :xd: just haven’t worn them in a long time since I bought them with 10kgs more on me These I mean I think I might just have my expectations warped from all the inspo pics I see where people try to make the fit look as perfect as possible, which is not really the case in the day to day life Good to know in case this happens on trousers, thanks a lot :)
