Picking shirts for my dad
My dad bought these pants for my graduation day, since he lost quite a bit of weight and old stuff doesn't fit him anymore. What shirts (and potentially blazers) would you choose?
He is 65yo, about 70kg in weight and about 175cm in height.
Both of them are darker than they appear on my phone screen.

Personally I would pick a plain blue ocbd and a navy blazer. Nothing too "out there" since patterned pants are a bit harder to wear.
I'm guessing light blue since the pants are dark gray?
Yep!
Thanks man. And btw do you have any advice for wearing shirts casually for somebody my age (about 19yo). I already roll up my sleeves and unbutton 1/2 buttons. When should I tuck the shirt in? Which colors/patterns are the easiest to match?
Oh then we're at the same age group! Tbh I dont think I can give you that good of an advice when it comes to casualwear since my fits have been called "overdressed" at times.
Tho I would suggest that you focus on material, wearing shirts casually requires casual fabrics such as linen for summer and chambray/denim for spring. As for colors, I would suggest sticking to classic colors such as oatmeal (for linen) and blues or any neutral color for that matter.
Tuck your shirt in if you feel like you need to be a little more put together. I almost always tuck my shirt in unless I'm wearing shorts.
Oh and look for casual details on shirts such as camp collars, button down collars, flapped pockets, and the like
Thanks, I'll try to figure it out
tbh I kinda expected more suggestions hahaha
In isolation there's not really much to say. White and light blue shirts, maybe with a button down collar are super safe options.
Without a budget it's impossible to recommend brands.
it would be pretty hard to recommend brands anyways since i live outside of the eu so we dont get most of them here
i was mostly asking about colors and potentially patterns but thats a bit much if its gonna get paired with gray striped pants
