KDE Mouse gets bigger when over certain windows.
I've only noticed it in three apps thus far: Ptyxis (QT), Blackbox (GTK), and PulseAudio Volume Control (GTK, aka PavuControl I believe).
...why?

That's a weird one. What GPU are you using? Are you using X11 if you have Nvidia? Does it happen again after a reboot?
Wayland/AMD
Persistent across reboots.
I am having the same problem as well on bazzite 41
Have you encountered this before? I am having this issue
I am on steam deck oled bazzite kde deck edition
Seeing the same on Ally x baz deck
Same here, it only happens when using fractional scaling, at 100% it's fine
nothing weird here
KDE uses scalable cursors now, so when you scale the display, GTK which does not support scalable cursors will use the blurry X11 cursors and in typical gnome fashion they refuse to implement scalable cursors (or at least the ones KDE uses).
nothing we can do to fix. best you can do is use a cursor theme without scalable cursors
or remove the scalable cursors apparently
both will make the cursors more blurry
what's interesting ist that in bazzite i get the big cursor (and big window) in ptyxis, on aurora however, ptyxis is perfectly fine but mission center has a huge cursor :dispair:
A new problem with Plasma and wayland, is that every application is responsible for determining the size of the cursor, and with pixmap cursors, there's a limited number of sizes, and if the requested size isn't available, they will round up or down to next available size. Problem is, every app and tookit does it differently. The best way to normalize it is to use SVG based cursors so that can scale to any size automatically. I'm using the new Capitaine set since they now use SVG based cursors. I'm sure some other cursors now use SVG, but I'm not sure which.
Solution
It would appear in recent versions of Bazzite this is fixed.
