I can't lie I genuinely got no idea what I'm doing atm like I've had a look through pinterest but I don't know what else I could do

I got a lotta shit in my wardrobe tbf but idk what's viable
collecting inspo is always step 1 imo
step 1a is also just trying stuff out. Play dress-up with what you have and decide if you like it

I have inspo going back years on IG. I'll go back thru and pick out themes or search out specific stuff for particular items or vibes. Folks might be able to give you some things to try out but you kinda just gotta immerse yourself to develop your taste. Pinterest, the #waywt #theme-waywt and #waywt-highlights threads here, IG, trying out fits yourself and posting them to #waywt, and even just being more mindful of what people around you are wearing are all sources.
I find that posting to an audience can be really helpful. It's one thing to put a fit on at home but another to actively put it out into the world somehow (more that just wearing it outside too)

those can serve as a good foundation for fashion knowledge - what items to wear, how to put together an outfit, using color, and even developing a personal style - and without the cost investment of a stylist
part of getting "better" at style is getting better at evaluating items and fits, not just what is good or not good but what you like or don't like; this can take time and can even change with time.

Insta much better than Pinterest ime for fashion stuff. See if there's any of the accounts shared there that catch your fancy, then if you follow them check out the suggested pages that they also follow, often gets you a bunch of similar pages to draw from
