First Alden shell - tassel loafers, PTBs, ...?
After coming to the sad/embarrassing realization that my shell Alden LWBs weren't actually shell, I want to pick up a pair of shell shoes this year and debating between options

No 8 tassel loafers https://www.theshoemart.com/alden-mens-563-tassel-moccasin-color-8-shell-cordovan/
no 8 PTBs https://www.theshoemart.com/alden-mens-990-plain-toe-blucher-color-8-shell-cordovan/
in terms of dressier shoes, I have alden brown/burgundy calf LWBs, AE walnut strands, black park aves. between the comfort and aesthetic, i wear the LWBs 95% of the time i need to dress up
last week i wore a somewhat trad outfit (navy blazer, chinos, repp tie, ocbd) and thought tassel loafers would've been a nice addition
i wfh, but i do have some business travel where they could be nice
"dress" loafers are technically a gap in my wardrobe, although PTBs could probably be more versatile... also open to cap toe boots or something
I personally find tassel loafers to be very easy to wear and versatile so I'd pick those. The 990s are also a v good shoe tho. Just be sure of sizing
yeah the aberdeen last has me freaked out
a local shop has a storewide sale, and they carry no 8 tassels, but they don't carry my size 🙃
ignoring the price, these are also sick https://www.yuketen.com/artisanal-collection/medallion-saddle-with-kiltie-cordovan-crazy/
