i build outfits by putting shit on so a lot of these are just me throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks

Think a home depot bucket would look better in your kitchen than the ace

i couldn't get the pants in 3 hemmed in time, but the hope/plan was to take the pic at a baseball game it's interesting to see an outfit 'emerge' in the camera roll, too.. just trying things out and eventually editing until landing on what I posted to the fit battle. starting in a dark/broody fall look with a wool blazer, cotton pants and boots and ending in a hobbit spring fit with a linen blazer, linen pants and sockless loafers

Started out with a different jacket in my vote-in but swapped the orphaned suit jacket for a bedford because I wasn't fully feeling the texture of the first jacket. Also lost the sunglasses because the sun went away lol I was playing around with these two fits for the first round fit but I wasn't fully feeling either. The first fit felt too safe/boring and in the second one the traditional jacket felt out of place for me. Thanks to some great input from @zeometer I ended up swapping the pants for the fit I submitted, which I think works much better These two were ideas that I didn't end up using. In the first one I wasn't satisfied with the sweater and the shoes but didn't want to wear the loafers that I wore in my first fit again. It also felt even more obviously "drake's at home" than that first fit, and that's not necessarily what I want to do. The second idea is kind of different from what I usually wear and I thought it was fun but I didn't have time to get the pants hemmed. Also I was up against Billiams and felt like if I were to have any chance at all it would be by going fully ivy and not by half-assing a different aesthetic. There were more attempts than all the above but most didn't survive the mirror stage. Overall I really enjoyed participating in the battle as an exercise to be very critical of a fit and really take a moment to think about what I think works and what doesn't. We'll see if it pays off in how I dress in the future 😄

I wanted to do one where I wove my tie diagonally through the holes in this vest (reminiscent of a cross body bag was my thinking), but it just couldn’t come together

fourth one hits i really wanted to make that fair isle sweater happen lmao; i got a better use out of it, a better schoolboy fit for vote and a better fit off with the coach's jacket/5 pocket pants

Those derbies are cool, first fit also kinda works for me It's cool to see how this fit really gets progressively better in each shot
