Screen starts tearing when disabling and reenabling rendering | "DH renderer encounter an exception"
I'd enable rendering and then I'd get an exception error and the screen would tear wherever I look.
Im using iris 1.7

heres the game log if needed
Did you have shaders on at the time when you disabled DH rendering?
Set transparency to complete in the DH graphics settings and restart
mine is already set on "Complete" but this still happens
me too :((
Restart the game
DON'T turn off the renderer and turn it back on again
DON'T switch shaders from compatible to incompatible and back again
Oh and don't switch LOD quality presets, that breaks things all the time
just restart the game, keep calm and carry on
I think it’s working but in some videos I see on youtube they get really far render distance, whereas mine is a just a little bit more than vanilla
Like this
You have to wait AGES for that much terrain to generate
if you're not using C2ME and Noisium and Starlight, do yourself a favor and use them
because they speed up world loading and performance by a good margin
Well for me when I go forward it generates but then when I go back it disappears
wwwweird
someone else said that was happening
what's your DH distance set to?
I tried up to 2048
Oh jesus christ 🤣
don't go over 500, you won't see the difference because as each band of chunks is rendered the band gets narrower and narrower and it'll take exponentially more distance to actually see the increase in range
312 is the magic number for a "realistic" distance that the human eye can see
I’ll try it ty!
It also won't take 56 hours to load like 2048
I tried to load 1024
it didn't work
I got to maybe 500 or so
not even xD
Try grabbing the latest nightly of DH from their discord
Thank you it fixed it
For that I found a solution, if you quit your save and reload the game it loads everything almost instantly
yeah but you have to actually build all those LODs first
the only reason things load almost instantly at the speed of the normal chunk loader is because the LODs are already built
