Initial spawn chunks are still visible from far away, but surrounded by air until my location
When I go far away the initial spawn chunks are still seen but like if they were the end island, and from my location I can see like air or not chunks surrounding the spawn area chunks, also I don't have 2048 render distance as I put in the settings, less than that.

Can you send a screenshot of what you're describing?
I can't until tomorrow, but I can give you a description
Imagine I'm at 1000 100 0
I see the chunks where I originally spawned far away
I see the chunks where I'm standing, with some more chunks because of DH (but I set it to be 2048 chunks, not like 100 chunks)
Between the chunks that I'm near, and the original spawn chunks, an abyss is.
Blank, nothing but void, air.
The colour of sky.
Help me please.
Aereal representation
The light green is like the DH chunks
The low resolutions ones
And also I should see further away, that's not 2048 blocks!
Are you on a server?
And did you teleport?
no
no
you probably need to turn up cpu load and wait a while. 2048 chunks can take days to generate on modern hardware
Oh
But if I stay there for like 3 real life days, then moved away, then returned, would the 2048 chunks still be there? or would them be forgotten?
they would stay there
unless you mean farther than 2048, because then they will be unloaded but not forgotten
A 1024 chunk distance took 20 hours for me to generate on a 7600x at max cpu load
But it doesn’t make sense for the chunks between op and spawn to not be loaded unless they were just never generated
yep, so that probably means DH didnt have enough cpu time to make those LOD's
I understand
Here's the image
But why are chunks missing in between
because of that?
yes
but if I reduce the DH chunks distance, would it help?
I think no
I have the I paid for the whole cpu option
the chunks would be generated at the same speed
Sorry, I didn't understand the at the same speed but faster
Maybe if I just walked the same distance it would have enough time? Instead of flying
you can ignore the second part, sorry
yes that could be a solution
Ok, I understand
but you could also just stand still for like an hour and a lot of chunks should be generated
So is it like normal what is happening to me?
Ok, thanks
Thank you
if you have a low end cpu or your cpu load was at a low setting, it is normal
no problem!
I have a i7 2.60hgz, I don't think it is low end is it?
I had "I paid for the whole cpu" on
that is not a cpu name, can you go to task manager, go to performance, go to cpu, and tell me the cpu name?
Ok apology
Intel (R) Core (TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz
Is that how it is called?
yes
hhmm
its probably expected
although im not too sure about the performance of it
Hmm, ok thanks
looking at some benchmarks, i would say its expected
Ok thank you !
