black artefacts and ui glitches

since iris 1.7.0 my bf and i are both getting these strange artefacts on our pack, often times they appear when looking in certain directions but we couldn't find a block causing it. it also hides ui elements, such as the cobblemon party on the left and any items in your hotbar. they flicker like crazy and often have a bit of rubber banding in certain directions. we are using DH 2.1RC but these glitches are present without it, we've also tried to cull through our pack by loading mods in chunks of 25% but the issue stays across all 4 divisions so i'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction before i keep splitting mods. - they occur with bsl, bliss, and opal shaders. - they're happening on both windows + nvidia, and linux + amd so not an opengl driver issue. - mc 1.20.1, sodium 0.5.8, fabric loader 0.15.11, fabric api 0.92.0. i can't find anything unusal in the log while these occur, no opengl errors or even references to iris. thanks

:thonkwithshades: Do you have other mods install besides the 5 mods necessary for Distant Horizons shaders support?

This looks like a problem caused by Iris/Oculus Flywheel Compat. Do you have that mod?

we did, we thought that was the issue (we added it the same time as we updated iris + DH) but its still happening after removing it. does it leave anything behind that prism launcher won't tidy up maybe?

No, that should be impossible All I can recommend is doing a binary split at this point

The Thanos Method What is The Thanos Method? - The Thanos Method (more accurately known as a binary split) is a debugging technique used to find the mod or mods that are causing the issues you are experiencing. How does it work? - The Thanos Method is simple. To find the conflicting mods, split your mods folder into 2 groups. Remove one group, and test in-game. Keep the group that has the problem, and repeat until no more mods can be removed without the issue disappearing. Thanks to The Thanos Method, you can now enjoy an issue free modded Minecraft! https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/731716903742996531/873271100602220584/2951.1490520804.gif
