Problems with Oculus

Does this mod works with Oculus + Bliss Shaders? Also I need to know how to check whether the mod is working correctly

If you use the Oculus 1.7 beta, yes And which mod do you mean with "the mod" Usually stuff is working correctly if its doing what you want it to do

is it recommended to use fabric when using distant horizons? terra (one of terrain generator mods) wasn't updated to 1.20.1

Since all the major performance mods and iris are developed for fabric it would be better to use fabric but forge is still usable And Terra has a beta version for fabric 1.20.1 on modrinth

Only 1.7 works 1.16.15 had pseudo-compatibility where the LODs would still render when using shaders but the shaders wouldn’t apply to the LODs But idk about 1.6.9

as far as I know there’s no Iris 1.7 for 1.19.x either I remember someone saying that 1.19.x and earlier won’t be getting further support from Iris

i meant with 1.20.1

Oh yea with 1.20.1 I’d still recommend fabric But if there’s a forge mod you really want to use that has no fabric ports then forge still works fine Just that new updates for the forge ports of stuff like Iris and sodium will be delayed

what option should i use to get this kind of view? :awooThink: also this mod doesn't work so much with rendered chunks 32 but worked well with very small numbers :robotthink:

Don’t set your regular render distance that high I think in that video he was using bliss shaders and the LODs on high quality Not sure about the render distance he used

i can load a world, but tha game crashes while i am exploring it seems that terraforged and distant horizons don't do well on 1.16.5 or maybe because i am setting DH render distance to 256

It is indeed a terraforged crash. Possibly a incompatibility with a structure or world gen mod as it crashed trying to place a structure/feature
