Wedding tie knot

Hey guys, I’m going to marry in the end of this month and I’m thinking about my tie knot. Today I went to the store I brought my suit to adjust it for the wedding and the salesman advised me to use a doble windsor knot for my wedding. I prefer the four-in-hand, but since I went to the store and talked about this my fiancée is telling me to listen to him because that knot is better than the four-in-hand. Well, I brought a traditional english collar down dress shirt thinking about the four-in-hand knot. What do you guys think is best for the occasion?

I would need to see the suit. The know will depend on size of collar and lapels Smaller collar and lapels=smaller knot Larger collar and lapels=larger knot

The suit and shirt is with the tailor for adjustment, in the wednesday I can publish here a photo of the shirt, but it is a english collar spread, so it is more narrower. This is the suit: but Im not using these shoes and this shirt (the one Ive chosen has a narrower collar). And this one is with the doble windsor knot

It looks ok but i think i’d go with something a bit narrower id maybe trie a half windsor, that may be perfect

Just do a four in hand Lapels on this suit are quite slim. That knot on you looks gigantic and not in a good way

Generally you should consider the width of the collar spread and the thickness of the tie when choosing a knot, and you want the tie to integrate into the overall look, not stand out — to me, anyway. That looks like a collar that’s moderately wide in spread, yet that knot looks big to me, jutting forward a bit. It’s nice if you can get the tie to take up about a third of the distance left to right between the exposed ends of the collar with your jacket on. I think either a four-in-hand or a Pratt knot would look right, given the thickness of the tie and that collar. Four-in-hand is a safe choice, and you can press it down to spread out the sides of the knot a bit if needed. I like a Pratt for that triangular, symmetrical look of a Windsor with a lot less bulk.

Just my opinion, but I think knots like the double windsor are absolutely disgusting and look good on nearly no one (unless you're built like kingpen or smth). You are right to go with something like a four in hand or an old bertie.
