Getting high ping on servers that was low ping before
After the new update my singapoar server started getting 90-100ms before it was 40-50. it is only affecting singapoar server for me im not sure if anyone is having the same problem im having. is there any fixes for this?

i have this problem as well
i used to be getting 28-33 (peak) on sgp
now i am getting 50-58 ping
and it keeps on bouncing up and down, unlike before when it used to be very stable
however my ping on hkg is stll the same as always which is 48-53

I play on APAC to play with some friends
And I used to get 120 on sg (very playable), but now im getting 370+
Apparently it’s fixed on Singapore server it seems

Having same problem for 1 months idk what is wrong with Riot, I played Apex and its fine no problem at all, also for other games I have no issue. Indonesia here with Biznet ISP.
There are some options to improve this, but we need your provider's support. I've reached out to them already.
unfortunately, there's not much we can do for ACT Fibernet at this time.

Is there really no other way the routing on ACT Fibernet can be solved? Cause almost everyone from my state (apart from people using programs like exitlag etc) are experiencing constant 35+ ping with periodic packet loss/jitters on this exact ISP
Other ISPs provided in my state provide worse internet, hence worse connectivity than ACT

I’m located in the city named Hyderabad of a state named Telangana
I have been using this ISP for more than 5 years and started Valorant in 2022 using their internet service as well. Never had to worry about ping issues until September 2023.
Never fondled with any of my router settings nor with my Windows’ network settings. Everything were kept default all along

Hello! My wifi ping suddenly increased to 100+ ms too in Mumbai server.. Ik it was not that good before too, but it was used to 60-80 before avg but not it usually stays over 100 ms only, I can see it drop to 80 ms, but only for few minutes.

My ISP is ACT Fibernet, I live in Telangana, India. Used to get around 10-15 ping from when I started valorant (mid 2022) until September 2023, I have been consistently getting 35+ ping with inconsistent jitters on my ping. Haven’t changed any of my settings on my router, PC etc

About the ping increase, I think I'm facing this from episode 2 of this Act 8. And it's from siti broadband here in kolkata.
Nowadays, I have to play on mobile internet at night since on daytime mobile internet jitters too much, and I cant get low ping and stable connectivity, it's tiring at night thou fr. So if anything can be done, it will be really wonderful. :Iso_Love:

I’m afraid 50-60% of the issue might be on ur side since you don’t have a stable internet
Having 5ghz wifi/ethernet eliminates most of the packet loss issues apart from the routing ur ISP provider provides. Ur ping might go down a bit too
I have an Ethernet connection with 400mbps fiber speed and have been facing relatively higher pings than usual and inconsistent packet loss/jitters. These type of issues are hard to solve on our end (Given you haven’t tweaked any of the router and windows network settings), thus asking the Devs to look into them

About that, I think download speed doesn't matter tbh that much, it does only when there are more users or u working many stuffs together to let u take benefit of more bandwidth.
Like at my home (noida), I used to get ~20ms, and it was only 100mbps plan, it will go only to 32-34 when there are many players I think. But it would usually stay around 20-22 ms. It's from airtel fiber fyi (best isp tbh in India). My point is mostly it's just bad routing or optimization from isp nowadays here. And ik that, but just wanted to know if there is smth that can be done since previously it was lower ping than right now.
Btw since u have personal wifi at home, did u ever consider trying airtel yet? I think it would help u too. I would have if it wasn't hostel wifi rn lol :val_KekwSob:

Also, there isn’t any best ISP in india , it’s regionally relative to what’s best for that region. For instance, in my place, ACT provides better and consistent speeds than airtel afaik

This is not something we can fix right away. ACT is sending your traffic over a longer path to us and it's not ideal.
To fix this, we'll need ACT to provide us with a more direct link to our game servers in Mumbai

is this an issue with ISPs? seems weird that a bunch of people from SEA/APAC suddenly have higher ping on SG, and better ping on HK(despite being geographically closer to sg)

Yo @Fantasia what is your usual ping(latency) towards Singapore ? Sometimes there are physical link issues with the providers, they usually fix it within a week, not sure if thats the case here though

Yo can anyone help me im getting like 175ms in singapore server,usually i have the best ping on singapore ,i live in indonesia using biznet network,it started happening yesterday i thought was just my wifi but its still like this till today,when i use my mobile data i get good ping on singapore but when i use my wifi(biznet) gets 170+ms always

10ms better(lower latency) then before on average, some people have more, some less
depends on the ISP network and where you live
average RTT ( round time trip ) for the packet sourced from your computer (Valorant Client) to our servers for example in Frankfurt was 35ms for Sunrise ISP, now its 15ms

Did you try reinstalling os
that can be a valid reason, some network drivers or programs might be faculty however that is very rare and reinstalling your os should be your last option!

Depending on many factors like which particular ISP provides your internet, location where you playing from, outages in location etc. generally Europe is easier as everyone is connected everywhere and ISPs are cooperative
But if it goes up there might be some physical problems like links between ISP being down or just general routing problems.

the network problem is rtt jitters and packet loss, it's extremely hard to diagnose why they occur, it can come from a faulty connection to your router via wifi or Ethernet or it can be your isp that isn't using the optimal routers:mymelody_shrug:
if you are on wireless I'd say try using a cable
