Starting up 1.20.2 distant horizons on fabric with NO OTHER MODS insta crashes
same as title,. yes i downloaded correct version and stuff. no other mods in the way. doesnt tell me any compatibility issues when loaded, just crashes

i did read all that yap sadly but fabric launcher dont work
all of these mods work except when i put distant horizons in
if u know which mods are messing the compatibility please let me know before i spend 30mins testing every single one back to the mod folder
start with just dh added and slowly add your mods back until you find the one causing the issue

To edit the config, press the button next to the FOV slider to edit the config.
The config file found in .minecraft/config/DistantHorizons.toml
if that's the only issue, add all your mods back. i think this was the main issue

having some issues with distant horizons, lods are only generating after i load the chunks. They dont go past my render distance.

If it feels like LoD generation with
Distant Generator
is too slow:
Try increasing CPU Load
in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator
is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive
settings of CPU Load
. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe
, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering
and Show World Gen Queue
to True
.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)its peaking at 100%..
i set the debug thing to true
and i dont see any of the working tasks
setting it to balanced makes it 80-100%, aggressive stagnates at 100%

You only need to delete your LODs.
i just loaded them aint matter
also keep in mind that dh will generate lods from where the player is at outwards so you won't see them immediately

May I ask a genuine question? Any reason why you want to play on 1.20.2? Most mods are either on 1.20.1 or 1.20.3 and above.

unless you've got a monster this will probably not run very well
they're generated but not rendering. should fix itself after a while
also disable fog. advanced -> graphics -> fog, set draw mode to disabled

as a general rule of thumb 85 is toasty but okay 90 is right on the edge 95 too much for extended sessions 100 and above something is going terribly wrong

my laptop idles around 65 with nothing open and without the fan plugged in
