Trying to load AstraLex shaders?
:linus:
No Ibin Resurrected
for some reason it works with BSL but still says there was an error
Iris 1.7 I assume?
the latest version for minecraft 1.20.6
This is likely a pack problem, similar to the ones reported in #(Solved: Update Astralex) Astralex Crashes on 1.20.5 Iris. It may require the pack to be updated to fix the error. I'll forward this to the pack's author for now.
@JoshTheB you may want to look into this.
ok thank you
Can you show me what's in your
latest.log
I also assume you're on nvidia?im nvidia
where do i find that log?
.minecraft/logs/latest.log
Ideally, choose the shader as active, then restart the game, load into the world, and then send the file - that way it'll only have errors from Ebin in thereHow to get a log file:
Game logs can be found in the
logs
sub-directory in .minecraft on clients, or the logs
sub-folder of the server directory for servers. We're probably interested in the file named latest.log
, which you can drag and drop into Discord.Tag requested by hardester
Thanks Windows for freezing mid-typing...
Okay, thanks. I'll look into it
Okay, so the log file doesn't have any more info, this is an issue with Iris 1.7 where error messages are broken. If you've got the time, could you try it on Iris 1.6? And if it errors there, send me that log file as well
ill try late today when i have more time
Alright
got a Java error when trying to run 1.6
can you try this out?
(on 1.7)
it worked
Awesome. Turns out a variety of mistakes I made in the last few versions weren't picked up by the AMD driver on Windows so I had to debug it on Linux
Nice.
well nice work and thank you for the help!
Now upload the fix to Modrinth so that I can mark this as solved.
