OK, absolute Homarr/Truenas noob here. How do I access where I put a new background image?
Dear friends, after messing around with a plethora of different DIY solutions to my home storage I settled on Truenas, and discovered I could make a beautiful landing page by adding Homarr. To me, this is sheer magic, I am used to doing all things SSH/SCP, maybe a bit of SMB config editing... Having point and click, drag and drop is just so... fantastic.
And I see all the gorgeous layouts, backgrounds and whatnot that people post on here. Amazing stuff. Homarr 0.15.2 running on TrueNas Scale 24.04, installed through the app addons -I guess that's docker...
I just have one question: for the life of me, I cannot find how to actually access the directories where I would have to place the images/icons/animations that I would like to use for my customisations. How do I get them from my laptop to the right spot on the machine running Homarr, so that I can then select them through the menu?
I hope someone can give me a pointer here. Thank you all in advance!

Can I install Homarr on a Raspberry Pi?
Hi @Harry777 , are you familiar with VPC and the storage backends of TrueNas?
Hi Manicraft... not really. I am familiar with the linux filesystem (I use nothing but linux), but how they built it in TrueNas, I do not know.
Can you post a screenshot of the "storage" section of your Homarr app?
You must click on edit (on the Homarr app) to see this section
OK, took me a second to find that. All the entries say "ixVolume (Dataset created automatically by the system)"
Post a screenshot
Sorry for being a bit clumsy on this 😳
@Tag are you familiar with the new storage backend of IX? I use the legacy VPC in some places because I haven't upgraded yet due to TrueCharts.
@Harry777 please wait for Tag to respond. Thanks for your patience
The IX storage backend is a mystery to me. I see it reserves space, creates directories, sets permissions. But how to access it or write to it? I know not.
Is this truecharts or truenas catalog?
I've only played arround with truecharts' and therefore would recommend that one as updates permeate faster
(Also, I would recommend using hostpath if you do get the truecharts version, which allows you to just have everything in a SMB accessible folder)
