Laces rubbing on shoe tongue, what should I do?

Hi all, I just bought my first pair of nice footwear (AE Boots from Shoebank) which I'm pretty happy with, but I noticed that there are a few marks on the tongue from where the laces are rubbing against it. Is there a recommended way to deal with this?

I’ve never seen this, are the eyelets rubbing?

I thought it was the laces themselves, but I can doublecheck its not the eyelets You're right, I think it is eyelets.
