Opinions on Air Max 90s
Is there anything egregiously wrong or unstylish with these shoes? I was given some advice by my podiatrist to find a shoe with a higher heel than front and I don’t want anything orthopedic looking. I’m open to NB as well but didn’t see anything that caught my eye.
I’d also love recommendations for color ways and I’d be happy to go the custom route. My preference would be versatility (I’d like to wear them with grey, navy, or khaki chinos and also potentially jeans or shorts)

i have a pair of these Air Max 1s in “curry” colorway. They’re surprisingly versatile imo and work with my green fatigues, jeans and khaki pants. i got these on ebay for about $60 bucks 5 or so years ago and they’ve held up super well. Imo if you get a colorway you like these shoes rule. I like the Air Max 90s too if your style is a bit more tech-y or gorpy
I think they can look cool. Nothing wrong with them. Very easy silouette which can work with wide, regular or slim fit pants
also just a general tip for sneakers, i’d check “women’s” styles of Nike as well because they have cool colorways often times that they don’t make in “men’s”
Thank you. Especially for the women’s tip because they are 25% off for Mother’s Day. I’m a licensed mental health counselor in private practice so I can wear what I want and generally go for chinos, sneakers, solid T and cardigan/blazer. I don’t have space for multiple pairs of shoes. I like these. Thoughts?

I’m interested in exploring wear but not really gorp or tech so I’ll shy away from air max 90s
wow i think that colorway is awesome, i love those! and for sure, i don’t think 90s are too gorpy or anything like that so definitely didn’t mean to turn you off of them
Love AM90s. Usually there’s no hype around them so you can get nice colorways new for under retail. I’d recommend caution getting the ones marketed as Women’s though. Nike CS told me on the non-technical/sports models there should be no difference in sizing (aside from what the box tells you on Mens vs Womens sizes). That is not true for all Jordans (can’t remember if I’ve experienced this with non-Jordan Nikes). But if you buy from Nike itself they have a very liberal return policy so you’re good anyway.

So to clarify, don’t buy the opposite gendered shoe if it’s for athletic purposes?
They were saying that if it’s a running or sport shoe they will be sized differently. The shoes we are talking about here are no longer considered to be technical, they’re retros now. So theoretically they should work with the 1.5 size difference between M and W sizes. I’m just saying don’t be surprised if they do still end up having a smaller toe box if they’re marketed as women’s. But with Nike you can wear stuff and still return.
I think I prefer the airmax 90s to the 1s for my personal style, but its really up to you and whatever you like for how you dress :). Great colorway pick on the 1s. Send some more that you're thinking about if you feel like it or send some outfits that you commonly wear and ask for advice on putting them together!

I’ve been all over the map with shoes. I’ve had Stan Smith’s, Greats, and Vans recently. I’ve been interested in New Balance and some version of Airs. And recently was given advice to choose a shoe with a higher heel
