bump this up, im also having this problem
i also have a laptop with decent specs that is also not overheating with more than enough ram to use and he fps drops shown on graphs mostly occurs together with render latency ( gpu ) and render latency ( cpu )
Do you tab out during the round? Also have you installed the latest GPU driver?
yeah also i saw this issue only happens when i am pluged in
i guess i tab out sometimes
wtf is this
No, Yes
yeah same for me
graph stats
What about storage size how much storage do you have left?
what are the laptops specs? and is there something in the bios that dictates how much battery it uses like power modes etc if so try to max those settings out or in general check the battery mode options. its possible that its dropping usage and causing fps dips trying to optimize the battery if you say its not overheating etc then thats the most likely cause i could think of
rtx 4060 laptop gpu, intel i9 13900 hx 16 gb of ram 1 tb ssd
738 GB left
try to check power options
and make sure its not trying to save the battery
You can set battery options to max performance
it aint
some days it just happens
check for virus etc my old windows had viruses even tho i got rid of them all using malware byte etc. my cpu usage still would go over 50-60% idle without any processes same happened in game it just decided to go high and ruin the game from there onwards til i opened task manager then it stopped using cpu and frames went back to normal
thats highly unlikely to be done by viruses but if no fix is found instantly you gotta try some shit xd
check bios to incase* also do you have multicore rendering thing enabled in game?
the graphic setting thats the most top one* i have a friend who disabled it and kept playing the game like that thinking setting everything low/off was the play... XD
check bios for?
i have the multicore rendering maxed
battery based options* laptop bios sometimes have their own settings on how much power cpu/gpu can draw
my cpu usage is really low even while running games
alright ill check the battery based options
also i am guessing you are using charger while playing the game? just asking to be sure xd
yeah
the battery otion is fine
weird then, you could try to reset stuff to default ig like nvidia control panel settings etc and see if that helps but i doubt it will cause such big fps drops
wait its only happening during the first game of the day?
so if you play second map its fine then?
no every game i ment to say in the first game when my laptop is 40 degree but still i get fps drop
