Connecting pc to 4k tv

So when i plug my tv in it gets detected but it doesn't display; its 4k at what i thought to be 120hz but when i change the refresh rate from 60hz to 30hz in the Nvidia control panel, it displays no problem. Anyway to get a higher refresh rate to work? Maybe switch to display port? i have 3 high speed HDMIs running through 2 extenders.

What display is this? What GPU are you using in your PC?

I can't find any specific specs on it, but you have to check the manual to see if any of the ports are HDMI 2.1 (which I highly doubt with it being listed at like $300) I supposedly found a manual online and there is no mention of HDMI 2.1 when you would need to do 2160p 120hz Not to mention that pretty much no TV's existed at the time that could do that AND JVC is kind of a shit brand so I wouldn't expect them to actually do this right My guess is the supposed "4k 120hz" is really 4k 60 with some frame blending tech that TV companies use which has been legally considered a flat out lie

Hm but the tv doesn’t display unless set to 24hz in nvidia control panel

Then it's even worse than they claimed. It's probably not true 120hz, it's 24hz that they upsampled to 120hz
