looking for versatile loafers or Moccasin

I’m would like to add loafers or moccasins to my shoe collection that will pair well with linen pants, casual shorts and maybe chinos/jeans. Is there such a shoe? I currently have Allen Edmund’s chili Chelsea, brown grain Michael’s and dark brown Allen Edmund’s Higgins Mill. I was thinking about Rancourt loafer or moccasin but not sure which style and color is most versatile or if there is a better option or brand to get. I heard their Read boat shoes are great but not sure about the white soles. Ideally would like to stay around $250 -$300. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

I've personally loved Sabah for every pair of their shoes that I've owned (if you like the style)

cant seem to find exactly which model this is from Allen Edmonds, but these drivers https://www.depop.com/products/antonick-allen-edmonds-men-loafers-interstate/ I think they are the interstate 90s I guess it depends on your style and what you like 🙂 boat shoe vs driver vs venitian moc etc

Not sure I like sabah looks but will take a deeper look later. I’m loving the Tod Gommino loafers. These would be more my style but definitely out of budget.

I looked at The Sperry boat shoes but read that their soles don’t last and would be replacing them in a year or two. I was hoping their a classic shoe that everyone should have, like the Michael’sz lol Are the Sabah comfortable? Looks like a very thin sole.

yeah, they take a minute to break in (leather sole/insole) but they're very comfy I wouldnt walk more than a few miles in a day in them all of these shoes have thin soles other than the sperry boat shoes

I personally wouldn’t recommend driving loafers. They wear out very quickly And idt they look very good compared to regular variants Pretty much anything from rancourt’s lineup will work. I’ve personally cooled off on natural cxl and would opt for brown instead but their loafers, camp mocs etc should be fairly easy to wear I’d skip boat shoes and go for either blucher/ranger mocs or camp mocs instead

Yes, this is true. All of the shoes have a thin sole. I’m a side note, is that an Alex Mill chore jacket? I ordered one yesterday. lol

Versatility really depends on what style and vibes you’re going for and what you want to wear with them

Yes, I am leaning towards the Rancourts classic ranger Mocs. https://www.rancourtandcompany.com/products/classic-ranger-moc-carolina-brown-chromexcel?width=D I want to wear them with shorts and loose and wide legs linen pants mostly. I’ve been these with white common projects and need to change it up. lol

I love my Rancourt penny loafers. I have the basic dark brown pinch pennys. Beefroll is good too, if you prefer.
