LODs falsely loading when underground?
I made a base that goes into a mountain, but when i turn around my big windows are covered in false LODs, as if DH thinks i've never removed the stone.
ive tried setting render distance to minimum (32) and teleporting myself far away from the range, then teleporting back after a while, to try and force the chunks to reload
then i found out about the sqlite and deleted it to force DH to start from scratch, but the same issue keeps happening. any ideas how to fix?

the moment i go inside, this happens

singleplayer?
yuppers
it can be 'fixed' by increase CPU load to speed up the lod gen process, and forcing DH to regen LoDs by placing new blocks/destroying old blocks on the affected area
hmmmm let me give that a shot
other than that, kinda an odd one on how it behaves
i'll wait other people cuz weird
oh you know what, ive seen this before when i used Terralith
when it would generate floating islands, the ocean under them would get really weird
and it would create a really strange DH LOD under that spot
that's different issue
i just went back into house, and it updated the LOD with the colors of the materials im using
if it's pillar-like, then it's vertical quality related (referring to floating island)
try increasing quality preset and see if it's due to lod merging or not
went from low > med, its slowly loading
i stupidly reinstalled multimc to my hdd instead of ssd so everything takes a while
yeah
:widepeepoHappy:
move the installation first i think
i can see out my windows again
thank you so much
you can boost vert q settings
cuz most perf hit's from horizontal q/ lod drop off distance
aaah nice okay
yeah confirmed, i can leave horizontal as low but turn vert to high, issue solved
there is now some fake stone blocks appearing behind the fences at the top, but thats an issue i can ignore
that's overdraw
you can adjust overdraw prevention to lessen the effect
or increase rd a bit
