Recs on black flowy wide pants $0-150?
Hey I'm looking for some recs on your favorite somewhat price conscious big flowy pants. Bonus points for interesting details like tie belt, pleats, nice stitching, etc.!

etc
preferably something that fits >36" waist because I'm a big boy
i think it has to have an elasticated waist.
that's the only real way you can achieve flowy as well

I've got a pair of these. Just like everything else at BR, they're not really worth it at full price but if you wait for 40% off I think they're good
I recall @De La Joel giving me some great recs in this vain a while back but i cant recall what it was, summoning him for advice haha
joel is going to recommend a whole lotta yohji which might bust this price range tho
but all of them will be good recommendations
I'd be honored haha. Joel was the first person I saw wearing tabis in a WAYWT on /r/mfa and is the reason I'm asking tbh
I feel like I’m out of touch with what brands are doing apart from Yohji 😔
But if you ever want Yohji recs I can probably worth with your budget
Oh i remember it was the issey Hakama pants which are very cool
One day I will ask you for Yohji recs. Gotta work my way up to that lmao
You dove headfirst into Tabis why not yohji lol
got my tabis for <$400 after watching them for 1.5 years lol
ive gotta be able to dive in this fit faster and start feeling out what I like/what looks good on me
I think Joel gets lots of good deals proxying from Japan which is still witchcraft to me and not usually friendly to us big fellas unfortunately
yeah, gotta shrink myself down to fit into japanese sizes
nearly gotta shink myself down for american sizes haha
yeah elasticated waists are goated for this reason

free sizing
I was nervous about elastic waste bands specifically with Issey homme stuff but i’ve seen a couple other 40 waist dudes that look great in it which has given me hope
Honestly tons of Yohji is very accomodating. Lots of my pants are like 40-44inch in the waist that you cinch in
What’s your budget @Shrimp ?
$150 max rn
stretch to 200 for the right garment
eventually I see myself picking up some nicer stuff if I like how I feel in flowy clothing @De La Joel
A good idea might be to check out women's clothing and just size up. I feel like the women's section of Uniqlo might have something that would fit
Women’s Muji might have a more interesting design that’s more in line with what you’re after but I haven’t actually looked
And Muji lowkey expensive for the bracket
Like comparable to getting a good deal on something way better secondhand
Browsing quickly they had two decent options in the women’s section but nothing outstanding for what you want and they both top out around 36” waist
Several people on the server own and recommend Black Ficus, but may not be as flowy/interesting as you're looking for. https://blackficus.com/product/palazzo-linen-pants-2
These also look nice, but definitely more tapered https://blackficus.com/product/ready-to-ship_loose-pleats-pants-warehouse
The womens pants there actually might be just what I’m looking for
Looks like I may even be able to pick an inseam
Since they’re made from scratch
And the womens pants are also way cheaper?
Ya when you make an order you can request your measurements
Unless they're in the 'ready to ship' section
these are the Palazzo ones for ref (I definitely still need to hem mine, because I did buy a ready-to-ship pair)
Love big linen pants but yeah they may not be as structured as you’re looking for
Anglan may have some stuff if not explicitly for this then for your broader pivot https://m.en.anglan.co.kr/onlinestore.html
This is mega true for anyone concerned
Many yohji balloons will be in this camp, the stuff without an elasticated or drawstring waist is less forgiving
Especially if stuff isn’t (very) pleated, you can get away with leaving the waist very uncinched
100% this, my wife grabbed some really nice seersucker flowy big pants and they had a lot of nice hemp/linen ones too. inseam might be be an issue but i think they've got pretty wide size ranges.
