How to use shaders without Optifine? (1.20.2)
Hello,
I am running DistantHorizons-2.0.1-a-1.20.2, Forge 48.1.0, Chunky, Embeddium and Noisium.
All works great, until I try to add Optifine (Crash when lunching game).
Is there a way to make Optifine work, or, substitutes to Optifine in order to run Shaders?
Thank you for your help!

Iris isn't on Forge it seems
Only Fabric/Quilt
sorry use rubidium
Thank you @That Guy !
Happy to help
I'll check it out. But I believe Rubidium's latest release is for 1.20.1
maybe it will work regardless
you'll have to use optifine
what version do you play on?
1.20.2
oh

try this
iris dont support 1.20.2
and optifine shaders support is limited and broken
Solution
consider moving to 1.20.1 or 1.20.4 on fabric instead
and embeddium is not compatible with optifine, it's doing the same thing
so if I go up in versions, I might have a DH + Optifine that work?
If I go to 1.20.4?
it's for iris
optifine is obsolete if you use iris+sodium
Ok, thank you so much for all the help and explanation guys
All good
hope you have solved your problem
so I use the NightlyBuild (1.20.4), get Fabric instead of Forge 1.20.4, and Install Iris 1.20.4 + Sodium 1.20.4
And this should work in multiplayer since its client-side
am I missing something?
grab fabric api and indium as well
and 1.20.4: https://gitlab.com/jeseibel/distant-horizons/-/jobs/6725654615/artifacts/download?file_type=archive
I don't want to abuse of you kindness, but could share my way the links for these?
no
im on my bed
I've been stuck for days (litteraly), trying to use DH. And I keep having compatibility issues
haha ok no problem
That went sour quickly. Just Fabric 1.20.4 and the DH link above for 1.20.4
i linked it again
the first one was 1.20.2
you are 100% right, that's my mistake. Used the wrong one
IT WORKSSSSSSSSSSSSS
@Maybike (GMT+7) thank you a million time
