Is this wooden shoe tree potentially going to damage the inside of a shoe?
I got this pair of Allen Edmond shoe trees recently, and I think their shape may cause some damage if used. The heel has this sharp edge, as well as the edge of the toe. I'm worried that it will scratch or deform the inner liner over time.
I've never used or owned wooden shoe trees before, so I'm not sure if I am overthinking it or this may be a valid concern. Curious to see what others think

You can sand it a bit if you want
The toe isn’t really gonna do anything, because the point is at a downward slope and it almost always never reaches the very end of the toe box. The heel is also not sharp enough to cause any real problems. With that being said, it’s always a good idea to buy shoe trees with a touch more volume and shape at the heel, where it properly cradles the heel cup, and does it hold/stretch it at a more narrow point, causing the heel to look more sharp and less rounded over time. Mind you, this isn’t usually a problem, and I have a bunch of similar shoe trees from Woodlore that haven’t caused any issues.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll see if I can find another shoe tree with a touch more volume at the heel potentially
The ones from Alden/alfani(?)/macys have a wider heel
