DH having problems with my main minecraft world
If I should send more informations regarding my problem, pls write it down in the comments! I know my english is bad btw.
My Problem
Distant Horizons is not working for me. It does work on any server and any single player world EXPECT my main single player world. Im playing 1.19/1.19.0. I only have one mod installed, and that mod is distant horizons 1.6.7a. The minecraft and DH settings are vanilla. My world didnt crash completely, but didnt work properly as you can see in the video below.
I also recorded the issue here: https://youtu.be/YEWr0o09aOk
Crash log
It is attached to my post.
About my world
I started my world on my mobile device in 1.13 and I continuoud playing until a early version of 1.16, maybe 1.16.1. I used a programm (not sure what the name was) and migrated my world from bedrock edition to java edition. There were smaller issue like double slabs missing, single slabs like polished andesite slab that got converted into end bricks slab and the inventory of my enderchest got deleted. My world wasnt really corrupted at all. I did get get chunk corruption. It was only one ring that surrounded the old bedrock chunks. I decided to delete the new java chunks in 1.17.1, so I can upgrade my world to 1.18 with the new world generation without chunk corruption. I used a programm called MCA Selector for deleting chunks. Now im playing on 1.19 with no chunk corruption.
Any help to how to solve this Problem would be very appreciated

1.6 is ancient, update to 2.0.1
Is this the most stable build?
Latest nightly from #links-n-downloads would be better
You might want to consider optimizing the world
Theres just a download for 1.19.2 and 1.19.4, im playing 1.19.0/1.19
(edit -> optimize)
In the config or what do you mean
From the single player world select screen
Is upgrading to 1.19.2 not an option?
Or 1.19.4 for that matter
I could try
But as I said the thing is, that DH is working on any other world and server, only for my main not
@Yeshi (GMT+2) did you find something in the crash log?
That's probably caused by a corrupted database, but with how old 1.6 is I have no idea how the database used to work back then
I can make another test with the latest dh build for 1.19.4 in about 15 minutes and see if it works
When you do, get a build from #links-n-downloads as some massive changes happened today
I did get the same results with the latest download. Not working properly and unloading chunks that I already loaded.
did you try optimizing the world
it's under the edit menu on the singleplayer world select screen
No, I will look into it
can this damage my world?
unlikely but consider making a copy of the world folder first
it's in
.minecraft/saves
[17:12:21] [Server thread/WARN]: Too many chunks queued for updating, max queue count [1000] ([500] per thread). Some LODs may not be updated or may be missing. Please move through the world slower, decrease your vanilla render distance, or increase the CPU load config.
Could this be my problem?
this warning can be safely ignored
Does that mean, im missing chunks because I have cpu problems?
I couldn't explain it any better than the message does
Can you tell me if this pc is bottlenecked with 4k display and a nvidia 4070
for using DH no shaders and texture pack
What are your advanced threadding settings like?
What do you mean by that
I think it's an unexpexted error where generation threads that do not actually generate things (because you are loading existing world) are outrunning the update threads
Advanced - threading: increase relative number of update threads compared to generation
Can you tell me how I can fix this issue
I... Just did?
Like step by step so I can understand it
Dh settings
Advanced
Threading
There you have bunch of number fields
yes im there
Find one thats like "chunk update" or something
And double it
Which one is it?
@cola98765 (UTC+1)
were you at like mininum inpact preset?
go back to top of DH menu, set CPU preset to like ballanced, then go back to those threading settings and make screenshot
@ImGian
My cpu was like on 85 celsius and I had 3 instances of minecraft open at once I showed the specs somewhere in this forum post
w... why you had 3 instances?
afking mob farms etc
I set it to ballanced now
now it should be better
as in first set of screenshots effective time on generation and update threads was the same, while now update gets 2x the time
Should I always play with these settings even when I only have one minecraft open at the same time?
you can always increase the preset to aggresive
at that point it's a question of if your cooling is sufficient
and once the world loads all it had to form what you actually explored on your old world, then the root of this problem would also dissapear
Alright you were realy helpful thanks. If I should encouter another problem, should i write in this forum or make a new post?
you can continue this one
