Missing labels on Q1 until I chose a language
I recently loaded 2.7.15 on my Q1, which I hadn't used for a while. Almost all of the text labels were blank (it actually showed a small circle), except for the labels under the "More Options" (the one with the icon of the elipses) from the Menu Panel.
Once I chose English (or a different language), the labels loaded.

Ooh, that ain’t good
Let me know if you want a
logcat
Yeah that’s the empty string, interesting
Brush names are there, and the labels on More Options are for some reason (maybe they're not localized?), but nothing else that I could see
Probably from the change I did with how strings are loaded? It was in prep for Silk Brush
Do you want a logcat dump?
Yeah might as well!
ok, will try to soon, but I'll be offline in a bit. It seems like it might not be saving the language setting for me, as well, unless something is going wrong there too; on every startup, I need to choose the language again.
Note that when I go into the language setting screen, English is highlighted, but I have to click on it explicitly to get it to load the localized texts. My system language is English (US), so it's not like I'm doing anything (too) weird with my Quest.
hmm okay, i assumed it would default to english but perhaps not
I didn't see anything useful here, but I don't know what to look for.
FWIW, before selecting the langauge, I clicked on the icon that opens our github, so that might help find it in the log.
Though I did it by mistake, and not as part of a deliberate action 😉
ok, good news; this seems to only be on Q1, not Q2
interesting...
interestingly, this seems to be working on the newer unity version
