Is this tucked shirt w/ chinos good fit?
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but when I tuck in this shirt with these pants, I dislike my silhouette.
I don't usually tuck anything in so it might be my head but I want to get other's opinions. Idk it feels like my thighs and lower body just looks too big proportionally after tucking in. I'm a shorter guy (5'6") so I thought tucking would give me a better proportionate fit but it doesn't feel like it.
The last pic I included shows me with it untucked which I think looks pretty notmal/decent.
I'm very new to this still so please go easy on me, just want actionable advice.

Tuck looks good imo
Probably just not a silhouette you’re used to as you said
Maybe a belt would help?
My other actionable advice would be to go for some straight fit chinos, I think that would also help the silhouette
Hmm, yeah maybe I'm really just not used to it yet. I feel like when I see pics of guys with the tuck, it looks more sleek whereas mine looks meh, esp in the first pic
Hmm, I might explore that actually! Maybe the drape would help a little, idk
thank you!
tapered slim cut on the pants I think is kinda wack but yeah the tuck looks fine
you think go straight or relaxed fit?
Either really. I personally just don't really like the carrot silhouette from slim tapered pants
Yeah I’d go straight fit first as I think it’s gonna feel more natural to you than relaxed
But either would work better than the tapered
Perfect! I'll try it out and see how I like it. Thank you so much! May post an update will see
For reference the mid rise on the chinos make tucking in easier and looks better imo
Rise is this bit
Dope (also lol), def prefer mid-high rise but maybe i'll experiment! Ty! At least it doesn't look bad
Oops! Tucking!
LMAO
Autocorrect etc :xd:
Yeah higher rise makes t shirt tuck work better
