Iris crash with "adventurez" mod

hi guys, when I use iris version 1.7.0 on 1.20.1, it crashed. Im using Better Adventures modpack with a few other mods.

1.7 changed a LOT of stuff, so a lot of other mods have to update to be compatible with it

just a question, how does iris change how a mod that just adds a few mobs work?

iris doesn't change other mods it's just a shader mod

sorry i might just be stupid right now. I understand that but isnt iris just a shader mod? why would it affect a mod if all it does are shaders

as such, other mods that try to change the same parts of the game will need to have a custom iris case for compatibility

ahh last question does using an older version of iris to run distant horizons make a big difference? i want to use shaders with distant horizons but I dont know if the bugs are because iris doesnt support distant horizons with shaders yet the version that works is 1.6.17

well if you try to run 1.6.17 with DH the LODs won't have any shader effects on them

so you'll have real vanilla chunks with cool shaders then a cutoff where it goes to vanilla rendering and no shaders and it has some iffy results
