Brycelands
Pros: Love their dark western vibes.
Cons: Only way to make the pricing look acceptable is to compare them to Drakes. Also have luck finding anything secondhand.
That being said, what are the pieces from their collection you look at just to torture yourself/your bank account?

For me its the black western shirt that just nails everything I would want in a western shirt, especially as I like to wear black (casual) shirts quite a lot.
Also the easy jacket in linen looks kinda nice, but I try to remain sceptical.
ive got their denim shirt somewhere in my closet and i think maybe a pair of pants and a polo
Nice! How do you feel about the purchases? Is the quality etc good?
I don't remember what I paid for any of the pieces I have, but I do really like the polo for the way it fits. The pants kind of just feel like any other decent pair of wool trousers. The denim shirt I got because I thought it'd be fun to have a shirt in raw denim and see it fade over time, so there's a kind of novelty factor there, but again it feels like a decently made shirt. I feel like quality is so subjective and I tend to be a bit loose with my money when it comes to clothes so I'm not sure my opinion is going to be super helpful, but I will say while I like the pieces I have, I don't like them so much that I'd seek them out to buy more
I just visited their Tokyo shop today! Such an awesome spot. Ended up buying the chambray work shirt and a tie. But also the sales associate was extremely helpful and it was fun to just spend an hour there nerding out about clothes
I will be in London next month on a research trip and am also just looking forward to just look at their stuff in person and try some stuff out, maybe nail down some sizes etc. Thinking that the easy jacket would fit quite nicely into my repertoire for this summer, even though i suspect that it does not have any interior pockets which is a shame, because I like me some pockets.
I was there a few weeks ago! Great shop, I picked up the white cotton pique jeans & tried some things on for future sizing reference
I have the Sawtooth Westerner in black, denim, and white, as well as the Half-Zip chambray shirt and the Cashmere crew neck. I can say that the quality is superb and the fit is incredible (at least for me). The only other place I buy Western shirts from is Double RL, and always only during sales as they aren't worth full price. The Brycelands ones are (in my opinion) the best Western shirts on the market with their long tails and perfectly pointed collars - which is why I'm happy paying full for them.
On another note, their knitwear is very good (all made in Scotland) and I wear my cashmere crewneck a bunch as either a stand alone piece or the fancy thermal
Yeah, the Sawtooth westerner in black is definitely on my list as well. Love black shirts, love western shirts = win
is the black sawtooth a denim or a thinner cotton?
Their regular denim says its 10oz cotton; the black westerner is 9oz according to their site and the weave looks a bit different
I wonder if anyone ever bought the red or the red-check westerner though
they look fun but also come a bit out of left field
no idea how to pair a solid red westerner
It would be too much red for me in a long sleeve, very bold item to wear
Then again if you layer it well it works (not a brycelands but it's a red colour and similar vibe)

It feels like something that needs to fade before it becomes really nice
I'm definitely with you there
you can’t post urbancomposition man he looks good in anything
Do you go tts on the denim sawtooth?
unrelated to the question - what does tts mean in this context?
true to size - so is a tag size L an actual L or is an XL say closer to a L
ah
I always just check size charts nowadays to avoid the risk of buying the wrong size
Same, but you never know with shrinkage and such
They have a size chart for pre and post washed
And I think you can also order already washed stuff
Yeah it's definitely lighter than the denim but a pretty tough twill regardless. You can definitely wear it on hotter days that you couldn't do with the denim one
I do TTS for every shirt (38) from Brycelands EXCEPT the White Sawtooth (I got a 40) - as it does shrink about one size.
When inbetween sizes, would you suggest sizing up or down (sorry for the necro)
Bc im size 43.
I would be looking for the trim-but-still-plenty-of-movement kind of fit
I’m usually around 43 and I tried on a bunch of shirts in tokyo, I would recommend sizing up here
Good call. Decided to just order both 42 and 44 for direct comparison and 44 fits perfectly
Still a bit crinkly bc the fabric is not broken in yet
But its just the right amount of free movement
It truly is the platonic ideal of a western shirt
I really hate how they are able to produce the perfect iteration of a specific garment to the point where you kind of don't want to get a more affordable alternative.
Bryceland Lookbook next week. Last years was pretty cool, so Im excited to see what they have cooked up..
I only recently started following them on Instagram so looking forward to seeing this
They do cool stuff
Btw, the denim shirt you were wearing in your fit battle entry - was that one from them?
they absolutely do, but its soo expensive x-x
No it was this one from TCB

TCB JEANS
Dude Ranch Shirt 8.5oz Denim
We've reproduced the iconic sawtooth shirts from 50's when the western style and dude ranchers were in a full swing. The sawtooth flap pockets and the eye-catching back yoke are the famous features from the shirts from this era. For the lapping seam, we use 7/32 inch seam width in reverence to the vintage. As far as a
A much more affordable option 😅
Absolutely! 😄
Bit dissapointed by their FW Lookbook. Last years lookbook had great photography while this year feels really mid.
